Position Overview

The Environmental Scientist/Data Manager candidate will support projects across the United States with field, laboratory and data validation coordination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, manage, track, process and review laboratory produced data.
• Integrate with project teams to manage the flow of data.
• Manage large environmental datasets in relational database programs.
• Manage subcontractors such as laboratories and data validation firms.
• Handle quality control checks on chemical laboratory data.
• Create electronic data deliverables for State and Federal clients.
• Create data work products such as data tables, graphs, and statistical analysis.
• Participate in developing Quality Assurance Project Plans, Data Management Plans, and data usability assessments.

Required Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. degree in environmental science, chemistry, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of combined commercial environmental laboratory or environmental consulting experience.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and technical writing skills.
• Be a self-motivated, creative problem solver who can work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Desired Qualifications

• Professional experience in an analytical lab setting.
• Professional experience using EQuIS, ERPIMS, or other environmental database programs.
